This is the story of Davi and Adam:
December 21, 2008
Downtown Tampa
Tampa, FL

It is an enchanting Saturday evening. The weather is unseasonably mild for late December, which makes it perfect for an outdoor ceremony. The courtyard outside the Hyatt Regency Downtown is aglow with hundreds of candles with a crisp white chuppah in the center of the light. A classical guitarist creates an ambiance fit for a beautiful wedding.

True to Jewish tradition, the bride and groom have already seen each other at the signing of the Kotuba, a ritual Jewish contract of marriage. However, that does not deter the look of love and admiration in the eyes of Adam as his stunning bride descends the stairs and makes her way to him. They join together under the chuppah and the ceremony begins. After breaking the glass and a rousing shout of “Mazel Tov!” The bride and groom proceed down the aisle with their bridal party.

The reception is at perhaps one of the most beautiful venues in the Tampa Bay area. The Tampa Club is glowing with candles and the lights of the city. After the bridal party and the bride and groom are announced, the first dance begins. Adam surprises Davi by switching up the song on her last minute, to which she is horrified. All attendees found it funny and it made for the most memorable first dance we have seen.

As dinner is served, toasts are given, champagne is drunk, and all are in good spirits. The party begins with the dancing of the Hora. This is perhaps the most unexpected and funny surprise of the entire evening. Davi is hoisted up on the chair first, and is laughing with glee as she grips the chair for dear life. As they go to lift Adam in the chair, he is accidentally dumped out of the chair. But as any good humored, gracious groom would be, he laughed it off, climbed back on the chair and continued the dance. The night ended with an elated groom and his equally elated bride. The couple left the next day to cruise the Caribbean for a week for their honeymoon.

This wedding was especially special for Lauren. Davi, being a close friend and sorority sister, and Lauren serving as her wedding planner and maid of honor made for an interesting and exciting day. For Davi and Adam, our wish is that may the worst days of their future be no worse than the best days of their past.

This is the story of Erika and Casey
November 8, 2008
5:30 p.m.
Deer Creek Golf and Country Club
Deerfield Beach, FL

It’s a beautiful and mild evening in early November. The waterfall at the Deer Creek Golf and Country Club creates a soothing ambiance as Casey awaits his bride. The doors open and Erika, in her beautiful beaded gown, steps out with her mother at her side. The guests collectively gasp at how stunning she is as she glides down the aisle towards her groom. Her face is radiating with happiness; his eyes are full of love. There isn’t a dry eye as Erika and Casey pledge their love, their lives, and their future to each other. As they share their first kiss as husband and wife, their guests are on their feet and all are full of the renewed hope that comes with this newly solidified union.

As cocktail hour kicks in to full swing, Erika and Casey mingle with their guests, pose for pictures, and sneak adoring looks at each other. Everyone is in the highest of spirits.  The banquet room is ready, glowing with candlelight.  Casey and Erika also added a personal touch to each table by naming them in lieu of numbering.  They chose different baseball parks from around the country as the table names since they are such huge baseball fans.  It was an adorable and personal gesture to make their special day all that much more unique. Just as their guests head inside for dinner and dancing, Erika disappears and re-emerges in a reception dress; a shorter version on her wedding gown.  They are announced to the Florida State war chant and immediately make their way to the dance floor.  Erika and Casey surprise all of their guests by performing a swing dance number as their first dance.  That definitely set the tone for the evening as one of fun and laughter.

As everyone settles in to eat dinner, Erika’s sister and maid of honor gives a very touching toast.  Then it’s time for the best man’s toast.  Casey’s brother gives perhaps one of the funniest toasts ever given.  He had searched on the internet “how to give a best man speech.”  Instead of using it as a guideline to write a speech, he used it as his speech and filled in personal anecdotes when necessary.  The entire room is roaring with laughter.  It was a special touch to add to this already fun filled and light hearted evening.

This wedding was especially near and dear to Rachel’s heart.  Rachel and Erika met while at Florida State University working in a leasing office together.  Their friendship has spanned nearly five years, and Rachel was most excited not only to see her long time friend get married, but was privledged to  help her plan her perfect day.  This was also a milestone wedding for Team Happily Ever After Events.  This was our very first destination wedding!!  The planning was done almost exclusively via phone and email and Rachel and Lauren traveled down to Deerfield Beach to execute the day.  Our wish for Erika and Casey is may the love they have for each other grow with each passing year and blossom into their own family.
